If you get the message “You don’t have ACT! 2000 (version 5.0.x) installed on your machine” when installing the ACT! Link 2.0 form Palm OS or updates it is probably because of your anti-virus software.

Norton Anti-Virus and some other has a script-blocking function that causes this problem.

1. Disconnect from Internet
2. Uninstall Norton AntiVirus 2006
3. Unistall ACT! Link and ACT!, your database will not be uninstalled
4. Install ACT! and the ACT! Link
5. Reinstall Norton AntiVirus 2006
6. Connect to Internet
